Method

How these are built

Primary sources only
Every figure traces to a public filing, a grid operator report, a regulatory docket, or a peer-reviewed paper. Each carries its source and the date it was reported. Nothing here is proprietary, and anyone can reproduce it.
One measurement basis
Peaks, averages and forecasts are labelled as what they are. Where a widely quoted number is reported three different ways, we say so and name the basis we use.
Corrections are published
When a later study contradicts an earlier one, the earlier page links to the correction rather than being quietly edited. Study No. 2 revises several figures in Study No. 1, and says which.
The case against, included
Each study carries a section arguing the other side, with its sources. A document that only makes the case for flexible load is not worth citing.
