BT Gateway Data Center — Royse City / Hunt County
Overview
TYPE3’s map data lists BT Gateway Data Center as announced retail colocation in Royse City at 0 MW, operator Belltown Power, with notes calling it a planned 100,000-square-foot facility in a larger renewable-energy initiative. The TDLR record is the load-bearing primary source. Project TABS2026023619 registers privately funded new construction of a data center at 4989 County Road 2656, Royse City TX 75189, Hunt County, 100,000 square feet, $384 million, owner BT Gateway Data Center LLC, 13612 Midway Road Suite 200, Farmers Branch; this is the Belltown Power address used in DCD’s 8 July 2026 filing story. Current status is Project Registered, not inspected, not closed.
Operator identity is moving. The Royse City Herald-Banner (9 and 21 July 2026) reported Hunt County officials saying Giga Energy had assumed ownership of the development originally submitted by BT Gateway Data Center LLC, with a ~30-acre site, ~20 acres developed, a main building of about two acres, Farmers Electric Cooperative unused capacity, and a mid-2027 target. TDLR still names BT Gateway Data Center LLC. Giga remains a reported successor, not a completed title change that the current record can certify. 100,000 square feet is TDLR building area, not IT load. Belltown corporate GW portfolio numbers and renewable-energy adjacency are not on-site generation MW. Status is registered/planned, with a conflicting operator story.

This state sits outside ERCOT and outside the survey. Sponsoring one funds the work of charting it — pulling its interconnection queue, large loads, and price data onto the map.
