Cogent Dallas Data Centers — Identity Review

TYPE3’s generic Cogent Dallas record cannot safely be published as one address-specific facility. Cogent’s current Dallas page lists an Irving Data Center at 2511 East Grauwyler Road, Irving, Texas 75061, and a separate Dallas 2 Data Center at 146 Parkhouse Street, Dallas, Texas 75207. Cogent also lists a Dallas office at 1201 Main Street, which is not itself evidence of a data-center facility. The generic map data coordinate and name require reconciliation before a canonical child page is selected.

Cogent’s official page describes both facilities as secure, flexible, scalable colocation sites. Dallas 2 is listed at 8,192 square feet with 42U cabinets, private cages, UPS and backup generation, HVAC, fire suppression, carrier-neutral connectivity, ports up to 100GE, and 24/7/365 building security. Irving is listed at 19,212 square feet with similar cabinet, cage, UPS, generator, HVAC, carrier, and security features, plus utility computing availability. The page does not publish a single MW figure for either location.

The right editorial action is to retain TYPE3’s map data row as a pending identity review, then create address-specific child records only after matching its coordinate or source link. Do not sum the two footprints, combine their service claims, or infer that the generic record is Dallas 2 because the name says Dallas. A temporary parent/metro page can explain the two official locations, but the map should not mark either child as the canonical target of row 108 without reconciliation. This protects search intent and avoids assigning the wrong colocation address to a buyer.
