The IBM DAL04 map record is associated by a facility directory with 400 South Akard Street in downtown Dallas. The same directory shows neighboring records at or around 400 South Akard, including DataBank DFW1, Fidium Dallas, Lumen Dallas 4, and Cogent. That clustering may indicate a carrier-hotel or hosted-suite environment, but it does not prove that IBM operates a separate building at the address. The directory itself contains address-format inconsistencies, including “Akrad” in a nearby listing.

IBM’s current Direct Link documentation uses “Dallas 4” as a service location whose meet-me-room operator is Digital Realty and whose operator site code is DFW14. IBM’s Cloud documentation also distinguishes physical data-center codes from PoP locations and lists current Dallas infrastructure under DAL09, DAL10, DAL12, DAL13, and DAL14. Those sources support IBM connectivity in the Dallas market, but they do not tie the IBM DAL04 alias to 400 South Akard or confirm that the record is a dedicated IBM facility.

The identity question matters more than a data-center product promise. DAL04 remains separate from IBM DAL01, Digital Realty DFW14, DataBank DFW1, and Fidium’s network record until address and suite evidence are reconciled. No MW, utility service, critical IT load, generator capacity, or customer availability is established. The correct editorial state is conflicting, with a clear path to upgrade when IBM or TYPE3’s map data source field identifies the physical host.
