Meta Fort Worth Data Center
Overview
TYPE3’s map data lists Meta Fort Worth as Operating at 200 MW, announced in 2015 and operational in 2023. The 2023 date describes completion of the full campus rather than the first hall. DPR Construction describes a 170-acre site of more than 2.5 million square feet across five buildings, with the first phase operational in 2017 and the campus completed in 2023. The contractor also cites about 1,200 peak construction trades and more than 200 permanent operational jobs.
DPR says the facility operated on 100% clean and renewable energy while contributing to nearly 1,919 MW of new renewable energy development in Texas. That is associated generation development, not a claim that Fort Worth draws 1,919 MW. TYPE3’s 200 MW is also unlabeled and remains an estimate rather than a known load.
Address-level records place the campus at 4500 Like Way in north Fort Worth and AllianceTexas. Temple and El Paso are separate Meta campuses. The evidence supports an operating legacy campus, but renewable contracts, LEED claims, building area, and associated generation do not establish IT load. The associated renewable figure belongs to the energy program associated with the site, not to the campus meter or measured load.
Questions
Is Meta Fort Worth operating?
Yes. The first phase came online in 2017, and the contractor describes campus completion in 2023.
How much power does the Fort Worth campus use?
Meta has not published a site MW figure in the cited sources. TYPE3’s 200 MW is an estimate.
Does 1,919 MW mean the campus load?
No. The figure describes new renewable energy development in Texas associated with Meta’s operations, not Fort Worth IT load.

This state sits outside ERCOT and outside the survey. Sponsoring one funds the work of charting it — pulling its interconnection queue, large loads, and price data onto the map.
