SDC Austin Campus — Round Rock, Texas
Overview
TYPE3’s map data lists SDC Austin Campus in Round Rock with Sabey Data Center Properties LLC as operator, Announced status, 0 MW, and site coordinates 30.4890, -97.6475. Its note says the campus has 430,000 square feet and total power capacity of 84 MW. That note is a parent-campus layer and must not be copied to the separate Building A child.
Sabey’s current SDC Austin page describes two purpose-built data centers in the Austin market, 603,300 square feet of mission-critical space, and up to 84 MW of critical IT load. The same page describes 84 MW of aggregate power delivered to the campus, up to 6 MW of critical power per module, and separate 2.25 MW generator capacity for Buildings A and B. Generator capacity is resilience infrastructure, not IT load.
Sabey’s October 2024 construction announcement says the first building was completed and describes a 430,000-square-foot facility with up to 84 MW of critical power capacity upon completion. TDLR identifies Building A as a 217,350-square-foot ground-up data-center building at 1300 Louis Henna Boulevard, and Building B as a separate approximately 400,000-square-foot core-and-shell project. The footprint layers do not reconcile cleanly with the 603,300-square-foot current page, so the record reports them by source and scope.
The parent record matters for Austin-Round Rock market discovery, but it should not claim a current saleable block or add child figures. Keep SDC Austin Campus linked to Building A and Building B, preserve TYPE3’s Announced/0 MW state, and describe Sabey’s published 84 MW only as a parent critical-power layer.
Questions
What is SDC Austin?
SDC Austin is Sabey’s data-center campus in Round Rock, Texas. Sabey describes two purpose-built buildings with 603,300 square feet and up to 84 MW of critical IT load. TDLR records separate Building A and Building B projects, so the parent should not be treated as one undifferentiated building.
How much power does the SDC Austin campus use or plan to use?
Sabey publishes up to 84 MW of aggregate or critical IT power at the parent-campus level. That is not a current availability statement and is not a per-building value. TYPE3’s map data retains 0 MW, and Building A’s separate child page must not inherit the full parent figure.
Is SDC Austin operating?
Sabey announced completion of the first building in October 2024 and maintains a current campus page. TDLR still exposes project-specific registrations for Building A and B. Because current tenant load and saleable inventory are not established, describe the campus as a documented operating/development platform with availability unverified.
