GDA Rowdy Data Center, Vernon, Texas

Genesis Digital Assets’ Rowdy data center is located in Vernon, Wilbarger County, Texas, at the site of the retired Oklaunion coal power station. TYPE3’s map data lists the facility as operating and records 70 MW. GDA’s announcement describes a 60 MW wind-energy-powered Texas data center at the same site and outlines a plan to expand to 400 MW. These statements establish a facility history and a capacity discrepancy, not a confirmed 400 MW operating campus.

The two MW figures need separate labels. The 70 MW value belongs to TYPE3’s map data record, while 60 MW is the company’s cited facility figure. The 400 MW number is an expansion plan. GDA’s wind-powered description also remains company language; it does not establish that every watt is directly supplied by a dedicated wind asset or that the site has a firm 400 MW interconnection.

The retired power-station setting helps explain why Rowdy’s operating record and expansion plan sit side by side. A current GDA filing or site update could resolve the 60 MW and 70 MW discrepancy and show whether any part of the planned expansion has moved through construction or energization. Until then, current capacity remains conflicting and the 400 MW figure remains planned.
