IREN Horizon 1 is the first named AI-oriented phase in IREN’s Childress campus. TYPE3’s map data identifies 620 Farm to Market Road 1033 and a site-precision pin, while its seed status is Announced with 0 MW. IREN describes Horizon 1 as a direct-to-chip liquid-cooled facility for high-density AI infrastructure with up to 50 MW of IT load. That is a phase-level IT figure, not the electrical capacity of the wider campus.

IREN’s Childress materials describe the campus as 750 MW on 576 acres, connected to ERCOT through on-site substations. A separate Microsoft announcement describes Horizon phases 1 through 4 at 200 MW of combined critical IT load. The phase, campus, and combined-Horizon figures use different boundaries and should stay labeled. ERCOT connection likewise does not show that Horizon 1 has been delivered, energized, or placed in operation.
