DataBank Red Oak Campus — Parent Data Center Development
Overview
This record should function as the parent page for DataBank’s Red Oak development. DataBank’s current campus page places the site 21 miles south of Dallas on 292 acres and describes eight two-story data centers, each with 200,000 square feet of data-center space. The page identifies four Phase 1 child buildings: DFW9 at 3080 Batchler Road, DFW10 at 3330 Batchler Road, DFW11 at 3320 Batchler Road, and DFW12 at 3440 Batchler Road. Each child is labeled by DataBank at 200,000 IT square feet and 60 MW of critical IT load.
The parent-level power description must be handled separately. DataBank’s current campus page says Phase 1 includes four buildings and a 400 MW substation capable of delivering up to 300 MW of critical IT power, with 480 MW across all eight buildings. A DataBank video updated in August 2025 describes Phase 1 as four buildings totaling 240 MW and the full eight-building plan at 480 MW. The difference may reflect an update in the operator’s public materials; it is not safe to collapse the figures into a single current operating claim.
Child-building labels, campus critical-IT targets, substation capability, and live load are different fields. DFW9–DFW12 remain linked child records; their 60 MW labels are not counted again in the parent total. TYPE3’s Announced/0 MW state remains in place until construction, energization, commissioning, and lease evidence are reconciled. The commercial CTA is a source-dated diligence request for campus phase, building, and availability; it is not a promise that 480 MW is online or available.
Questions
What is DataBank Red Oak Campus?
It is DataBank’s planned 292-acre South Dallas campus for eight two-story data centers. DataBank’s current campus materials name four child records, DFW9, DFW10, DFW11, and DFW12. They remain linked child pages without duplicating the parent record.
How much power is planned for DataBank Red Oak?
DataBank’s current page describes up to 300 MW of Phase 1 critical IT power and 480 MW across eight buildings. A 2025 DataBank video says 240 MW for Phase 1. These are dated planning descriptions, not measured operating load or available inventory.
Is DataBank Red Oak Campus operating?
The reviewed sources establish a planned campus and named child facilities, but do not establish energized, commissioned, or occupied operations for the parent row. Keep TYPE3’s Announced/0 MW state pending current proof.

This state sits outside ERCOT and outside the survey. Sponsoring one funds the work of charting it — pulling its interconnection queue, large loads, and price data onto the map.
