Meta Temple Data Center
Overview
TYPE3’s map data marks Temple as Operating at 198 MW, announced in 2022 and operational in 2026, with city-level coordinates. KWTX reported on 22 July 2026 that Meta opened the AI data center on Industrial Boulevard. The project broke ground in 2022, paused for an AI redesign, and restarted in 2023. Meta’s Brad Davis said the $1.2 billion project supported 1,200 skilled construction workers at peak and about 100 operations workers. KWTX describes more than 760,000 square feet across two buildings.
Data Center Dynamics reported on 23 July 2026 that the site had commenced operations and was serving traffic. It placed the campus on about 393 acres near NW H.K. Dodgen Loop and Industrial Boulevard and described Temple as the first live example of Meta’s new AI-optimized design. Energy-matching and water-restoration statements are sustainability claims, not IT-load figures.
The 198 MW map data value does not appear in the KWTX or DCD live stories. Tracker write-ups do not substitute for Meta disclosure. Temple is separate from Fort Worth, the legacy operating campus, and El Paso, which remains under construction. The cited evidence supports a live AI-optimized campus, not a known 198 MW load; the live milestone supports status, while TYPE3’s map data MW remains unverified.

This state sits outside ERCOT and outside the survey. Sponsoring one funds the work of charting it — pulling its interconnection queue, large loads, and price data onto the map.
