Poolside Project Horizon — Fort Stockton, Texas
Overview
Project Horizon is Poolside’s planned AI infrastructure project near Fort Stockton, Texas. TYPE3’s map data identifies Poolside AI, an address on Farm-to-Market 1053, and a site-level coordinate, but marks the project announced with zero MW. Poolside’s project website describes a roughly 559-acre footprint adjacent to Longfellow Ranch, closed-loop liquid-to-chip cooling, and behind-the-meter natural-gas power for day-to-day electricity with grid interconnection for backup. Those design details do not prove energized capacity or current operations.
The capacity record is materially inconsistent. An earlier Poolside announcement described a 2 GW AI campus, a 250 MW first phase, and CoreWeave as an anchor. A later company release in August 2026 describes Project Horizon as a 400 MW data center in unincorporated Pecos County. Both statements remain part of the evidence, but neither is measured operating load, and the 250 MW phase is not delivered capacity without a current commissioning source.
Poolside and Fort Stockton remain part of the facility identity because this project is separate from IREN Horizon 1 in Childress. The evidence supports discussion of behind-the-meter generation, closed-loop cooling, campus potential, phase plans, generation capacity, and IT load as separate concepts. Dispatch performance and telemetry remain unverified. The FM 1053 address and stored coordinate do not yet reconcile with Poolside’s description of a site more than 25 miles outside Fort Stockton.
Questions
Where is Poolside Project Horizon?
Poolside places it more than 25 miles outside Fort Stockton in unincorporated Pecos County, near Longfellow Ranch.
How large is Project Horizon?
Public Poolside materials conflict: a recent release says 400 MW, while an earlier announcement described a 2 GW campus and 250 MW first phase. Treat the scale as unresolved.
Is Project Horizon the same as IREN Horizon 1?
No. Poolside Project Horizon is near Fort Stockton; IREN Horizon 1 is a separate Childress facility.

This state sits outside ERCOT and outside the survey. Sponsoring one funds the work of charting it — pulling its interconnection queue, large loads, and price data onto the map.
