Google Haskell County Data Centers
Overview
TYPE3’s map data groups two Haskell County sites under an Announced status and a 300 MW estimate, with county-level coordinates. Google’s Texas page places new campuses in Haskell and Armstrong Counties within its November 2025 $40 billion Texas plan. Dallas Innovates quoted Sundar Pichai describing three new campuses, including two in Haskell County. This record therefore covers two related campuses rather than one building.
Intersect’s Quantum page describes 640 MW of photovoltaic generation and 1.3 GWh of battery storage co-located with a Google data-center campus. A June 2026 Google and Intersect announcement said Quantum would begin operations that month and that the Google data center had recently begun construction. Generation and storage can be operating while the associated compute campus is still being built.
July 2026 reporting described Housebound Group LLC TDLR filings for Journey 1A and Journey 2A at 1362 Red Creek Road, each at about $400 million, with different square footage and schedules. Those are reported Google-linked phases, not a published 300 MW load. The two Haskell campuses are distinct from Red Oak and Midlothian, and no tracker MW from another Haskell project applies here. The Quantum co-location describes shared geography, not shared Google data-center load accounting for this parent record. The parent record covers the two campuses, while the data-center MW remains undisclosed.
Questions
How many Google data centers are planned in Haskell County?
Google announced two Haskell County campuses in the $40 billion Texas plan. They are two related campus projects, not one building.
Is the 640 MW Quantum project the data center’s load?
No. Quantum is solar generation plus battery storage co-located with a Google campus. It is not a disclosed IT-load figure.
Is Haskell operating?
Google said the Haskell data center had recently begun construction as of June 2026. That is not an operating campus.

This state sits outside ERCOT and outside the survey. Sponsoring one funds the work of charting it — pulling its interconnection queue, large loads, and price data onto the map.
